OKTOBERFEST BEER AND BLOOD 1900

MINISERIES – 2020

Oktoberfest - Beer & Blood is a mini-series that tells the story of the struggle for supremacy in Munich society between two landlord dynasties on the brink of the final downfall of their clans. It is also the story of a generational conflict marked by wounded honour, intrigue, and class snobbery, and which shines a light on the hidden world of the breweries and inns – the places where the city's truly powerful do their business in secret. Of course it is also a story about love, friendship, jealousy and betrayal, all set against the background of the emerging emancipation of women and the bourgeoisie, of steadily growing nationalism, and bound up with the unholy ambitions of Greater German imperialism. Last but not least, this is a story of sabotage, denunciation, hatred and murder.
