Alexis von Wittgenstein

CEO & Producer

Alexis von Wittgenstein completed his business management degree with a thesis on "International Film Co-Financing in Europe". He produced his first short films during his studies in Berlin, London and Bali, showing them together with like-minded people at the specially-founded Berlin underground film festival BANANINALE. After taking a postgraduate course in film production at the Filmakademie in Ludwigsburg and la Fémis in Paris, he worked for two years as assistant to the management at Beta Film, where he was particularly involved in film license trading and business development. Subsequently, Alexis von Wittgenstein worked as assistant to the CEO at Universum Film in the areas of feature film purchasing, commercial management and theatrical distribution. In 2011, he founded Violet Pictures with the support of Beta Film.

In four years of experience in world sales and theatrical distribution, Alexis von Wittgenstein acquired extensive know-how in the assessment of film projects for both their international and national potential. Due to the proximity of his position to the decision makers, he was also able to gain valuable experience in corporate management. Since January 2011 Alexis von Wittgenstein has been working as CEO and producer at Violet Pictures.

Gilda Weller

Producer

Gilda Weller first realized several art installations and experimental films as a director during her art and film studies at the University of Art and Design in Offenbach am Main. She exhibited her work in various galleries and museums, including the Frankfurter Kunstverein, the Satellit in the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, and at the B3 Biennale of the Moving Image in Frankfurt.

After receiving her diploma she decided to focus on the organizational activities of a film for a while to gain experience in international productions. She worked for four years as production assistant and location manager for various film and TV productions, as well as series productions such as Bad Banks, Labaule & Erben, Eden, and Greyzone.

After this instructive experience as a creative during her studies and also as an organizer on set, Gilda decided to unite the two by becoming a producer. Therefore she completed the one-year producer masterclass "Atelier Ludwigsburg Paris" at the Filmakademie Baden Württemberg, la Fémis in Paris, and the National Film and Television School in London and now works as a producer at Violet.
